Questions people ask at 6am.

Can I cheat it?

You can try. Missions need a real action — walk, shake, solve, scan a saved barcode, or hold the sun at the top. After three minutes, an emergency exit stops the alarm if you truly cannot finish.

What if I genuinely can't do the mission?

After three minutes on the ring screen, a quiet link says you can't do this right now. It stops the alarm, logs the morning as missed, and does not lecture you.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Alarms, non-photo missions, streaks and history work offline. If an AI check fails, Coop uses an on-device path so you are not stuck at 6am.

What about Silent mode and Do Not Disturb?

Coop asks for the permissions it needs to break through when your OS allows it. On iOS 26+ we use AlarmKit. On Android we use exact alarms and a foreground service. Some OEM battery settings can still delay alarms — the app includes a guide for those phones.

Why does Android ask for so many permissions?

Exact alarms, full-screen alerts and battery exemption help alarms ring with the screen off. Coop explains each one and keeps working if you deny some.

Will it drain my battery?

Coop only runs hard while an alarm is ringing or you are in a mission. Widgets and the countdown read a small local snapshot. There is no background tracking.

What does the camera send, and when?

Only four missions can upload a photo: Object hunt, Sky, Make bed and Custom proof. Each sends one downscaled frame with metadata stripped. Nothing else from the camera ever leaves your phone. Turn on On-device missions only to send nothing.

Do I need an account? Where is my data?

No account. Your data stays on your device. Pro follows your Apple or Google store account through RevenueCat. Export a backup any time. We never hold a copy.

Can I back up and restore?

Yes. Export creates a file you save wherever you want. You can lock it with a passphrase, or save it open after a warning. Import merges or replaces. Pro can keep a weekly copy in app storage on this phone.

What happens to my streak on vacation?

Use Skip tomorrow or Pause from the home screen. Freezes cover a missed day if you earned one. Travel and timezone changes reschedule alarms locally.

How do refunds work?

Refunds go through Apple or Google. Coop cannot refund store purchases for you.

Is it accessible?

VoiceOver and TalkBack work in the wake flow. Many missions have accessible paths or swaps. Gentle mode caps difficulty. Paths are listed in the app guide.
